Foreign Affairs: Je čas zaútočit na Írán

Avšak ti, kteří jsou vůči vojenské akci skeptičtí, nevidí skutečnou hrozbu americkým zájmům na Středním východě i v dalších oblastech, kterou představuje Írán vyzbrojený jadernou zbraní. Jejich chmurné předpovědi předpokládají, že léčba by byla horší než nemoc – tedy že důsledky amerického útoku na Írán by byly stejně negativní nebo dokonce horší než Írán, který dosáhl svých nukleárních ambic. To je ale chybný předpoklad. Pravdou je, že vojenský útok, který má za cíl zničit íránský jaderný program, pokud bude proveden s rozvahou, může ušetřit region a svět velice reálné hrozby a dramaticky zlepšit dlouhodobou bezpečnot Spojených států.
